The constant in my diverse career has been organization and cultural transformation. As Vice President/Company Officer for then a Fortune 50 multi-media company, US West, I was responsible for the strategic planning process, CEO’s governance system, worldwide total quality initiative, and one of only seven direct reports to the Chairman.
After a brief but eventful stint at the LA Kings Hockey Club as VP of Business Operations, where I oversaw the development of Staples Center and its innovative premium seating strategy, I became the VP of Sales and then Chief Operating Officer at Multiple Zones (now Zones.com). As COO, I led the transformation of the company from a business-to-consumer to a business-to-business enterprise, recognizing the potential for dramatic growth in revenue and e-Commerce.
As CEO of Stellar One, I successfully took a privately held Internet protocol TV software company to market and then served as the President and CEO of Ryzex from 2004 to 2012. This privately held mobile technology services company was a leading value added re seller with employees and customers throughout North America and Europe.
From April of 2012 to December 2016, I was the Chief People Officer at ATB Financial, an Alberta owned financial services company with headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta. As of January 2017, I was asked to take on the role of Chief Evangelist, and currently help lead the company through on-going cultural and business transformation as ATB sets out to reach its goals of being widely recognized as Alberta’s leading financial institution, The Place to Work in Canada and and a cult brand in the hearts of Albertans.
Outside of work, my abundant energy is devoted to a wonderful family (including three and hopefully even more grandchildren), personally advancing my personal leadership craft, and abundantly sharing any value I might bring to others. I am at my core a teacher, coach, facilitator and leader who gets stuff done.
